In June of 2014, I started at my first job at the age of 14 at Leenders Roosters. This is a metal flooring production company, specialised in floors for livestock. Of course, much relevant experience wasn’t gained, as I functioned as a production employee. Governmental regulations also made sure I was not too close to any dangerous machines or that I worked too many hours. However, I did develop the foundations of work ethics. Every saturday, my alarm went off at 5 am. Then at 6 am, six hours of manual labour started. During these hours, I was dedicated to perform as best as I could.
